As summer wraps up and we transition into the crisp, exciting months of fall, our team is gearing up for a season of growth and new ventures.

In October, our Co-Founders will be heading to the U.S. for an exciting few weeks of meetings and collaborations and we are delighted to welcome Todd Lienau to the Blakely Brown team!

US Trip

As part of our exciting U.S. expansion, a few of our team members will be making the journey across the pond next month. Our three Co-Founders—Ross, Ryan, and Jacob—are gearing up for an extended trip, visiting clients across several states and strengthening our valued relationships.

This trip will be a pivotal moment to connect face-to-face with clients and partners, while also laying the groundwork at our new Miami office. Executive Recruitment for Southeast Transportation Expansion: LJA Engineering

LJA was looking for a well-connected executive to lead their Southeast Transportation expansion. They needed someone who could integrate seamlessly with their team and drive their growth strategy in this critical public sector.

Our team utilized our extensive network and data, conducting in-depth market research to map out potential competitors and prospects. We broke down corporate structures to identify strong candidates.

We used AI to compile a detailed data sheet of prospects, ensuring all appropriate details were included for efficient outreach.

The team then initiated a multi-touchpoint outreach strategy, anonymizing the opportunity while providing a high-level overview and a soft call to action to engage potential candidates.

After speaking with multiple candidates, we identified the perfect fit for LJA and facilitated an introductory call between their hiring team and the candidate to discuss the firm’s presence, growth plans, structure, and culture.

Over the following two months, we managed the recruitment process, introducing the candidate to LJA's senior leadership team and ensuring a smooth transition. Resulting in the successful hiring of their Senior Vice President of Transportation for the Southeast, positioning LJA to effectively execute their expansion plans in the region.

Labor Department Forecasts a 10-year gain in Construction Employment

The U.S. Department of Labor projects a 10-year gain in construction employment, with the industry expected to add 380,100 jobs by 2033, reflecting a 0.5% annual growth rate. This is a more optimistic outlook compared to last year’s forecast. Construction trades, particularly clean energy roles like wind turbine technicians and solar photovoltaic installers, are expected to see notable growth.

• Clean energy jobs (wind and solar) to grow fastest.

The expected growth signals a strong demand for skilled labor in construction and engineering, particularly in green energy sectors, making it crucial for recruitment firms to focus on sourcing specialized talent to meet rising demands.

Team Updates

Todd Lienau has joined the Blakely Brown team this summer! Having graduated from the University of Leeds in July, Todd has jumped into full time employment with determination and enthusiasm and has already made huge contributions to the company. Todd has set up his own executive search market, heading up the Water/Wastewater division at Blakely Brown.
